about Amanda

---

Hello! I'm Amanda, an illustrator from London. I was born and bred in the UK but I am originally from Ghana. I have always loved to draw and I've been doing so ever since I could hold a pencil. Illustration is my ultimate passion and I am now lucky enough to be working as an illustrator for a living! I want to continue to tell stories through character design and evoke emotion from the viewer. I have worked with Spotify, Sainsburys, HarperCollins, Penguin Random House, Hachette, Scholastic to name a few.

I studied both Art, and Graphic Design in college, but deviated slightly at university and studied Classics. In a bid to return to my artistic roots, I've been focusing on building my illustration portfolio and professional clientele since 2016.

I am also the founder of The InkDrop - a creative hub and online space where illustrators, designers, and creatives at all stages of their journey can find inspiration, community, and the tools to grow. Join today!

My illustration style is stylised, colourful and consists of both line and line-less art - the latter of which is best suited for editorial or children's book illustration.
